Anthea King

Growing up in Iowa and California, Anthea now lives in New York City - the place she calls home for the last 14 years. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and French, Anthea moved to France to work in Paris and the Cote d'Azur before finally accepting a position in the fashion department at Marie Claire in NYC. She went on to work at Glamour and W Magazines - but it was her passion and natural talent for makeup that would change her career indefinitely. Assisting Pat McGrath, Dick Page, Stephan Marais and Francois Nars for over 15 seasons at fashion week and on editorial shoots, Anthea acquired the technical skills to breakthrough in her work a style that is uniquely her own.

"As an artist, what really fascinates me is how to make someone look interesting but always beautiful. My philosophy is perfection and never cutting corners which means I give 100% to each situation."  She has renewed her contract with Mark cosmetics 4 years in a row and she enjoys recognition for her style of precise beauty and a devoted celebrity and fashion clientele.

Anthea's approach to professionalism and endearing personality makes her a favorite among clients.

She currently resides in New York City.
