Lacy Redway

Lacy Redway

HAIRSTYLIST

Jamaican born Lacy Redway was raised in the small town of Hackensack, New Jersey, where she started practicing her craft at the very young age of 11. At the age of 14, Lacy took an apprenticeship in an African hair braiding salon and studied the intricate and intense craftsmanship of the braiders. Having been exposed to an incredibly diverse number of techniques, Lacy was introduced to the concept of freelance hairstyling for fashion and entertainment by a local mentor.  This, she discovered, was her true passion.  She then set her eyes on a bigger prize, moving to New York City where she studied at The Aveda Institute in Manhattan.

After honing her craft under the tutelage of master hair stylists Guido Palau, Eugene Souleiman, Odile Gilbert, Luigi Murenu, Bob Recine and Yannick D’ys, Lacy’s inherent talent and unique skill set have made her a sought after stylist in her own right.  As well, Lacy stands out amongst her peers because of her masterful knowledge of ethnic hair, which she first began studying in the braiding salons of her childhood, and for which she is consulted regularly by the industry’s biggest names. Lacy possesses the all characteristics and skills it takes for her to enjoy a long-lasting, fulfilling, and remarkable career.
