Rebecca Plymate

After studying Biological Anthropology at the University of California San Diego, California native Rebecca Plymate began working as a primate keeper before beginning her career as a hair and makeup artist. Having been passionate about styling hair as a child, Rebecca began pursuing her dream by obtaining her cosmetology license and working in Los Angeles. Eventually moving to New York and building her reputation as a formidable and skilled hair stylist, Rebecca began working with some of the industry's top photographers and has built an impressive client list in a very short time. This includes such artists as Ryan McGinley, Mark Abrahams, Marcelo Krasilcic, Magnus Unnar and Pierpaolo Ferrari. Her imagination, ability to manipulate hair as she wants, combined with her rare skill at collaborating with almost any type of artist, have won her a loyal and devoted following. Rebecca is a regular contributor to V and VMAN magazines.
