Mary Ellen

Biography

While studying fashion design at Columbia College Chicago Mary Ellen began her career styling models for runway shows at the Merchandise Mart and dolls at the American Girl Store. After graduating she moved to New York City where she obtained a styling apprenticeship at Hearst Magazine. There she fell in love with still life styling and developed the necessary skills to launch her freelance career. Soon her whimsical style and well-balanced compositions caught the eye of known brands such as Puma, Under Armour, Vineyard Vines, and J.Crew. Her positive work ethic and collaborative spirit has made her an asset in the studio and on location where teamwork is essential. When she is not on set, she can be found vintage shopping, surfing and roller skating throughout Brooklyn and the Rockaways.
