Akiko Sakamoto

Akiko was raised in Osaka Japan. Drawn to makeup from a very young age, she moved to Paris to pursue her passion. After collaborating with some of the top artists in Paris, she solidified her name as a true talent in her own right. She established a lucrative clientele, both editorially and commercially in Paris, before moving to New York where she currently resides.

Inspired by the colors and vibrancy of different cultures, makeup has taken her all over the world. Akiko is a firm believer that beautiful makeup begins with flawless skin. She loves enhancing the natural tones of the skin and playing with color.

Akiko’s clients include Vogue , Muse, Vogue Gioiello, Teen Vogue, Flair, Rolling Stone, So Figaro, L’Officiel, Elle, Marie Claire, Stiletto, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Uomo Vogue, Glamour, Grazia, Madame Figaro, Common & Sense, Bergdorf Goodman, Printemps, L’Oréal, Puma, Jil Stuart, and Dior.
