A New York City native, Tamah attended the legendary High School for the Performing Arts where she studied acting. Opting to stay in New York after graduation she worked as an actress. It was through her work in front of the camera that she was first exposed to the world of professional makeup. Inspired by an enduring interest in makeup and fashion, starting with her subscription to Vogue at age 10, Tamah's interest was piqued. After five years of acting she decided to make the leap. Making a point to seek incredible training, Tamah assisted top artists Val Garland and Lisa Butler.

Always approaching her work 'skin first' with the critical eye of a perfectionist, she maintains her tasteful aesthetic. Above all, Tamah is relentlessly positive, friendly and energetic. These combined qualities have quickly made Tamah a trusted collaborator to the industry’s top photographers, designers, and celebrities.
